Around 11 new employees join every week and must learn the group's brands in depth — each with its own history, culture, standards and procedures. Traditional onboarding meant a full day of in-person videos: expensive, slow and with minimal retention.

WHAT WE BUILT

A fully immersive VR onboarding experience, built from on-site fieldwork with the chefs and operations teams of each restaurant. Each new employee 'visits' every brand, interacts with avatars that narrate its story and prepares each brand's signature item with their own hands — the coffee at Starbucks, the Whopper with its real process at Burger King. The fidelity was such that brands like Starbucks and Burger King reached out to WASD directly, even from Argentina.

Not necessarily. Many of our projects run directly on web or mobile, with no additional hardware. When the experience calls for it — for example, high-fidelity plant simulations — we integrate the right devices and advise you on purchase or rental. The first step of our diagnostic is defining the right stack for your case.

A typical onboarding or operational training project takes 10 to 14 weeks, depending on content complexity and number of modules. This includes diagnostic, instructional design, production, testing with real employees from your company, and implementation. Simpler projects can be delivered in 6–8 weeks.

We define the learning KPIs with you from the program design stage: completion rate, knowledge retention (pre/post), onboarding time and employee satisfaction. We track adoption and completion, and deliver reports within the first 30 days. The strongest proof, though, is permanence: Alsea's VR program has been running continuously for 6 years, with more than 3,000 employees trained. We don't promise business-ROI percentages that depend on factors beyond training; we measure what we control and back it up with clients who keep running our programs years later.

We work with both. Our Tier-1 clients include Coca-Cola FEMSA, Alsea and Philip Morris, but we also develop projects for mid-size companies with teams of 50 to 500 employees. The model adapts in scope and budget. If you have a specific training challenge, we'll evaluate it at no cost in a diagnostic session.

Yes. Our solutions are compatible with major e-learning standards (SCORM, xAPI/Tin Can) and we can integrate with platforms like SAP SuccessFactors, Workday, Cornerstone, TalentLMS and others. The technical team evaluates the integration architecture during the diagnostic phase at no additional discovery cost.

All our projects include technical support for the first 90 days post-launch. For content updates, operational changes or new versions, we offer annual maintenance plans defined in the contract. Since training content evolves with your operations, the modular design of our solutions makes updates easy without rebuilding the entire project.

Yes. Because the content is digital, the same experience deploys identically across every site, gets updated in one place and produces comparable metrics per location. That's how our programs run at scale: Alsea's VR program has been training the group's brands since 2020, and Coca-Cola FEMSA's multi-simulator program has trained tens of thousands of employees cumulatively.
